1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove and relocate the upper radiator crossmember «(Refer to BODY/EXTERIOR/RADIATOR CROSSMEMBER - REMOVAL)»(ref-245423-S34172452552006110200000). (Scheme 1)and (Scheme 2).
3. Remove the radiator fan module. (Scheme 3) «(Refer to COOLING/ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN - REMOVAL)»(ref-245448-S13296076712006110200000).
4. Remove the wiring harness clip from front mount.
5. Remove the coolant line clamp bolt. (Scheme 4)
6. Remove the upper nut from the front mount. (Scheme 5)
7. Remove the upper starter mounting bolt. (Scheme 6)
8. Remove the middle starter bolt. (Scheme 7)
9. Raise vehicle and support.
10. Remove the lower front mount nut. (Scheme 8)
11. Raise and support engine. (Scheme 9)
12. Remove the lower bracket bolt to transmission. (Scheme 10)
13. Remove the lower bracket bolt to engine block. (Scheme 11)
14. Relocate the front mount and bracket.
15. Disconnect the positive battery cable from starter
16. Disconnect the solenoid connector from starter.
17. Remove the lower starter bolt. (Scheme 12)
18. Remove starter from vehicle.

1. Disconnect negative battery cable. (Scheme 13)
2. Remove and relocate the speed control servo. (Scheme 14)
3. Unlock the electrical connector and disconnect the vacuum hose from servo.
4. Unlock and disconnect the electrical connectors from the cooling module. (Scheme 15)
5. Disconnect the wiring clips from cooling module.
6. Remove the retaining clip from the top of the cooling module. (Scheme 16)
7. Remove 2 fasteners and remove fan module from vehicle.
8. Remove bolt from oil cooler line bracket in front motor mount. (Scheme 17)
9. Remove the battery positive cable from starter motor. (Scheme 18)
10. Battery cable removed from starter. (Scheme 19)
11. Remove the lower starter bolt. (Scheme 20)
12. Remove the middle starter bolt. (Scheme 21)
13. Remove the upper starter bolt.
14. Place a piece of cardboard in front radiator core, to keep from damaging the radiator. (Scheme 22)
15. Remove starter, and disconnect the solenoid wire from starter. (Scheme 23)
16. Remove starter from vehicle. (Scheme 24)
17. Remove the starter dust shield from vehicle. (Scheme 25)

1. Install starter and shield to vehicle. (Scheme 26)
2. Start the lower starter bolt. (Scheme 12)
3. Connect the solenoid connector to starter.
4. Connect the positive battery cable to starter
5. Relocate the front mount and bracket. NOTE: The front mount has an alignment pin. (Scheme 27) Make sure that the mount and bracket line up together. The alignment pin goes toward the front of vehicle. NOTE: Make sure that the wire harness is in front of the front mount.
6. Start the middle starter bolt
7. Install the lower bracket bolt to engine block. (Scheme 11)
8. Install the lower bracket bolt to transmission.
9. Tighten both lower bracket bolts.
10. Lower engine. (Scheme 9)
11. Install the lower front mount nut and tighten. (Scheme 8)
12. Install and tighten the middle starter bolt. (Scheme 7)
13. Install and tighten the upper starter mounting bolt. (Scheme 6)
14. Lower vehicle.
15. Install the upper nut to the front mount and tighten. (Scheme 5)
16. Install the coolant line clamp bolt. (Scheme 4)
17. Install the wiring harness clip to front mount.
18. Install the radiator fan module. (Scheme 3), «(Refer to COOLING/ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN - INSTALLATION)»(ref-245448-S13225941362006110200000).
19. Relocate and install the upper radiator crossmember. «(Refer to BODY/EXTERIOR/RADIATOR CROSSMEMBER - INSTALLATION)»(ref-245423-S10614109492006110200000). (Scheme 1)and (Scheme 2)
20. Connect the negative battery cable.
