Scheme 141
- Install the rocker arms, and pedestals onto the shaft.
- Install dowel pins. see scheme 85 Dowel pins pass through the pedestal into the exhaust rocker shafts. Dowel pins should be pressed in until they bottom-out against the rocker shaft in the pedestal. 1 - HYDRAULIC LASH ADJUSTERS 2 - DOWEL PIN 3 - PEDESTAL 4 - ROLLER
- Install rocker arm and shafts. «(Refer to ENGINE/CYLINDER HEAD/ROCKER ARM / ADJUSTER ASSY - INSTALLATION)»(ref-245454-S13812557382006110200000)
- Assemble oil pump using new parts as required.
- Tighten cover screws to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.). see scheme 177
- Prime oil pump before installation by filling rotor cavity with engine oil.
- If oil pressure is low and pump is within specifications, inspect for worn engine bearings or other reasons for oil pressure loss.
