REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
| CAUTION | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery. |
Removal & Installation (Front Door)
- Disengage clips securing front of door speaker grille to trim panel, and separate grille. Remove screws securing trim panel to door from inside speaker opening.
- Remove screws from bottom of door. Remove door pull cup. Remove screw securing trim panel to door from behind inside latch handle. Remove remaining screws. Using trim tool, disengage clips securing door trim panel to door.
- Lift trim panel upward to disengage channel retainer at top of trim and tilt panel outward. Disconnect all wiring harness connectors. Disengage clip holding linkage rod to inside latch handle.
- Lift trim panel upward to disengage hook retainers at bottom of panel. Disconnect remaining harness connector clips. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Rear Door)
- Remove door handle bezel. Remove screw behind bezel. Remove pull cup. Remove remaining screws. Using trim tool, disengage clips securing door trim panel to door.
- Lift trim panel upward to disengage channel retainer at top of trim and tilt panel outward. Disengage clip holding linkage rod to inside latch handle and separate rod from handle. Remove trim panel from door. To install, reverse removal procedure.
- Raise window to full-up position, if possible. Disconnect battery. Remove door trim panel. See «DOOR TRIM PANEL»(ref-3640-S13696294412000051100000). Remove window regulator. See «WINDOW REGULATOR»(ref-3640-S10812044062000051100000).
- Disconnect wire connector from motor. Using a "C" clamp, clamp sector gear to regulator mounting plate to prevent regulator movement. (Scheme 1)
- Remove motor from regulator. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten motor mounting screws to 50-70 INCH lbs. (5.6-8.0 N.m). Adjust window alignment, if necessary. See «ADJUSTMENTS»(ref-3640-S06222576482000051100000).

- Remove door trim panel. See «DOOR TRIM PANEL»(ref-3640-S13696294412000051100000). Remove door cup support bracket. Disconnect window from regulator. (Scheme 2)or (Scheme 3). Disconnect window motor harness connector. Loosen all bolts connecting regulator to door. Slide regulator free from door and rotate regulator out of access hole in door.
- To install regulator, reverse removal procedure. Align window. See «ADJUSTMENTS»(ref-3640-S06222576482000051100000).

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL . On master switch, remove switch screws and switch. On passenger's switch, remove switch from bezel. On all switches, disconnect connector. To install, reverse removal procedure.
