Programmable Automatic Door Locks (If Equipped)
If the vehicle has power door locks, it is equipped with a feature that enables you to program the power door locks.
The vehicle left the factory programmed to automatically lock all doors when the vehicle is shifted out of PARK (P), and all doors unlock when the vehicle is shifted into PARK (P).
If the vehicle has a manual transmission, it left the factory programmed to lock all doors when the vehicle speed is greater than 13 km/h (8 mph) for two seconds, and unlock all doors once the key is removed from the ignition.
The following instructions detail how to enter the programming mode for the power door lock feature
- Begin with the ignition in OFF. Then pull the turn signal/multifunction lever all the way toward you and hold it there while you perform the next step.
- Turn the key to RUN and OFF twice. Then, with the key in OFF, release the turn signal/multifunction lever. Once you do this, you will hear the lock switch lock and unlock.
- You are now ready to program the automatic door locks. Select one of the following four programming options and follow the instructions. You will have 30 seconds to complete programming. If you exceed the 30 second limit, The locks will automatically lock and unlock to indicate that you have left the program mode. If this occurs, repeat the procedure beginning with step 1. You can exit the program mode any time by turning the ignition to RUN. If the LOCK/UNLOCK switches are not pressed while in the programming mode, the current LOCK/UNLOCK mode will not be modified. The following is a list of available programming options: All doors lock/Only the driver's door unlocks: Press the lock side of the power door lock switch on the door panel once, and then the unlock side once. All doors lock/All doors unlock: Press the lock side of the power door lock switch on the door panel once, and then the unlock side twice. All doors lock/None of the doors unlock: Press the lock side of the power door lock switch on the door panel once, and then the unlock side three times. No doors lock/None of the doors unlock: Press the lock side of the power door lock switch on the door panel twice. This turns off the automatic door lock feature.

Programming Features with the Driver Information Center (DIC)
To enter programming with the driver information center (DIC), perform the following actions
- Turn the ignition to RUN.
- Place the vehicle in PARK (P).
- Press the Personalization button on the Steering Wheel to enter personalization programming.
Automatic Door Locks
Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the automatic door locks
- The DIC displays AUTOMATIC LOCKING.
- Press the Select button in order to enter the menu. The first choice seen is the current setting.
- Press the Select button in order to scroll through the following options: LOCK DOORS MANUALLY LOCK DOORS WITH SPEED LOCK DOORS OUT OF PARK
- Press the Personalization button in order to advance to the next option. The DIC displays AUTOMATIC UNLOCKING.
- Press the Select button in order to enter the menu. The first choice seen is the current setting.
- Press the Select button in order to scroll through the following options: UNLOCK DRIVER IN PARK UNLOCK ALL IN PARK UNLOCK ALL AT KEY OUT UNLOCK DOORS MANUALLY
- Press the Personalization button in order to advance to the next option.
Remote Activation Verification
Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the remote activation verification feature
- The DIC displays REMOTE LOCK FEEDBACK.
- Press the Select button in order to enter the menu. The first choice seen is the current setting.
- Press the Select button in order to scroll through the following options: LOCK FEEDBACK: BOTH LOCK FEEDBACK: OFF LOCK FEEDBACK: HORN LOCK FEEDBACK: LAMPS
- Press the Personalization button in order to advance to the next option. The DIC displays REMOTE UNLOCK FEEDBACK.
- Press the Select button in order to enter the menu. The first choice seen is the current setting.
- Press the Select button in order to scroll through the following options: UNLOCK FEEDBACK: BOTH UNLOCK FEEDBACK: OFF UNLOCK FEEDBACK: HORN UNLOCK FEEDBACK: LAMPS
- Press the Personalization button in order to advance to the next option.
Delayed Lighting
Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the delayed lighting feature
- The DIC displays HEADLAMPS ON AT EXIT.
- Press the Select button in order to enter the menu. The first choice seen is the current setting.
- Press the Select button in order to scroll through the following options: HEADLAMP DELAY 10 SEC HEADLAMP DELAY 20 SEC HEADLAMP DELAY 40 SEC HEADLAMP DELAY 60 SEC HEADLAMP DELAY OFF
- Press the Personalization button in order to advance to the next option.
Perimeter Lighting
Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the perimeter lighting
- The DIC displays PERIMETER LIGHTING.
- Press the Select button in order to enter the menu. The first choice seen is the current setting.
- Press the Select button in order to scroll through the following options: PERIMETER LIGHTING OFF PERIMETER LIGHTING ON
- Press the Personalization button in order to advance to the next option.
Memory Seat Recall
Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the memory seat recall
- The DIC displays SEAT POSITION RECALL.
- Press the Select button in order to enter the menu. The first choice seen is the current setting.
- Press the Select button in order to scroll through the following options: SEAT POSITION RECALL OFF SEAT POSITION RECALL AT KEY IN SEAT POSITION RECALL ON REMOTE
- Press the Personalization button in order to advance to the next option.
Content Theft Deterrent Alarm
Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the content theft deterrent alarm
- The DIC displays ALARM WARNING TYPE.
- Press the Select button in order to enter the menu. The first choice seen is the current setting.
- Press the Select button in order to scroll through the following options: ALARM WARNING: HORN ALARM WARNING: LAMPS ALARM WARNING: BOTH ALARM WARNING: OFF
- Press the Personalization button in order to advance to the next option.
Display Language
Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the display language
- The DIC displays DISPLAY LANGUAGE.
- Press the Select button in order to enter the menu. The first choice seen is the current setting.
- Press the Select button in order to scroll through the following options: LANGUAGE: ENGLISH LANGUAGE: FRANCAIS LANGUAGE: ESPANOL If you accidentally choose a language that you don't want or understand, press and hold the PERSONALIZATION button and the TRIP INFORMATION button at the same time. The DIC will begin scrolling through the languages in their particular language. English will be in English, French will be in French and so on. when you see the language that you want to select, release both buttons. The DIC will then display the information in the language that you selected.
- Press the Personalization button in order to advance to the next option.
Display Units (E/M)
Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the display units
- The DIC displays DISPLAY UNITS.
- Press the Select button in order to enter the menu. The first choice seen is the current setting.
- Press the Select button in order to scroll through the following options: UNITS: ENGLISH UNITS: METRIC L/100KM UNITS: METRIC KM/L
- Press the Personalization button in order to advance to the next option.
Exit Programming
When the programming is complete, or to exit programming before the list is complete, press any of the following DIC buttons
- Trip Info button
- Fuel Info button
