Rear Object Sensor Housing Replacement

  1. Remove the rear fascia. Refer to «Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement»(ref-609127-S25035718382014041500000) .
  2. Disconnect the sensor harness.
  3. Remove the sensor from the sensor housing. The sensor housing must be painted if replaced. If reinstalled, painting will not be necessary.
  4. Sand/grind sonic weld plastic residue from the fascia.
  5. Apply structural adhesive epoxy, Lord Fusor™ 127EZ or equivalent, to fascia at mating surface.
  6. Using the alignment tabs, install the sensor housing to the fascia.
  7. Allow adhesive to cure according to manufacturer's directions.
  8. Install the sensor to the sensor housing.
  9. Connect the electrical harness.
  10. Install the rear fascia. Refer to «Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement»(ref-609127-S25035718382014041500000) .

Preliminary Procedure Remove the inside rearview mirror wiring harness cover. Refer to Inside Rearview Mirror Wiring Harness Cover Replacement .
1Front View Camera Procedure Using a suitable plastic tool, insert the tool between the edge of the front view camera retainers, turn the tool to release the retainers and the camera and rotate downward. Disconnect the electrical connector. Program and calibrate the front view camera. For programming and set up, refer to Front View Camera Module Calibration .
