Power Window System: Removal & Installation Chevrolet Malibu V facelift

Removal & Installation (Front)

1. Disengage upper door trim panel tabs by pushing rearward on bottom front corner and pushing forward on bottom rear corner. Gently pull on trim panel to disengage top tab. Set trim panel aside.
2. Remove retaining screw from inside door handle pull cup. Remove power door lock and window switches. See «WINDOW & DOOR LOCK SWITCHES»(ref-129684-S26809494582001111700000) . Remove inside door handle pull cup.
3. Remove door handle plug to access door trim handle screws. Remove door trim handle screws. To release door trim panel from retainers, gently pry outward, starting at bottom rear corner. Remove door trim panel from vehicle, and set aside.
4. Remove water deflector. Lower window to access window retaining nuts. Remove window retaining nuts and window. Remove window regulator bolts and rivets. Remove window regulator. To install, reverse removal procedure.

Removal & Installation (Rear)

1. Lower window to full down position. Remove retaining screw from inside door handle pull cup. Remove power door lock and window switches. See «WINDOW & DOOR LOCK SWITCHES»(ref-129684-S26809494582001111700000) . Remove inside door handle pull cup.
2. Remove door handle plug to access door trim handle screws. Remove door trim handle screws. To release door trim panel from retainers, gently pry outward, starting at bottom rear corner. Remove door trim panel from vehicle, and set aside.
3. Remove enough of water deflector to gain access to window regulator. Disengage glass sash regulator from window. Remove retaining screws from trim at edge of door frame. Remove trim from edge of door frame. Remove window from door.
4. Disconnect electrical harness connector from window regulator. Remove window regulator bolts and window regulator. To install, reverse removal procedure.

Removal & Installation

Disconnect negative battery cable. Using a thin-blade screwdriver, pry between top of switch and door panel spring clip (if equipped). Press down on clip to release switch and pry outward. Disconnect electrical harness connector and remove switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
