- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove top half of air cleaner assembly. Remove oxygen sensor. Disconnect exhaust crossover pipe from manifold. Remove heat shield from exhaust crossover pipe.
- Remove exhaust manifold and gasket. Clean the mating surfaces at cylinder head and at exhaust manifold.
Installation
Reverse removal procedure using a NEW gasket. Tighten exhaust manifold fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Fill and bleed cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING .
