| CAUTION | To avoid being burned, do not remove the radiator cap or surge tank cap while the engine is hot. The cooling system will release scalding fluid and steam under pressure if radiator cap or surge tank cap is removed while the engine and radiator are still hot. |
| IMPORTANT | Draining the cooling system with the pressure cap installed will siphon the coolant from the overflow tank. |
| IMPORTANT | For procedures requiring the cooling system to be partially drained, opening the radiator drain valve should provide sufficient draining. No further actions should be necessary. |
- Place a drain pan under the drain cock.
- Use a 1/4 inch square drive or a 3/16 inch hex drive in order to open the radiator drain valve. (Схема №7) The radiator drain valve is located at the bottom of the radiator tank.
- Open the radiator drain cock.
- Drain the cooling system.
- Remove the coolant pressure cap.
- If a complete engine block drain is required, remove the engine block drain plug.
- Inspect the coolant.
- Follow the appropriate procedure based on the condition of the coolant. Normal in appearance - Follow filling procedure. Refer to «FILLING PROCEDURE»(ref-97546-S26608889822006011800000) Discolored - Follow flush procedure. Refer to «FLUSHING PROCEDURE»(ref-97546-S25874860942006011800000).
