SERVICE ENGINE SOON (SES) WARNING LIGHT
SERVICE ENGINE SOON warning light indicates a malfunction in the engine control system. When functioning correctly, the light comes on when ignition is turned on and goes out when engine is started.
If light fails to come on with ignition or remains on when running, a service need is indicated. A 2-digit or 3-digit trouble code will be stored in memory if a problem is detected. When trouble codes are repaired, the light should return to normal function.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFLATABLE RESTRAINT WARNING LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
The INFL REST warning light indicates a potential problem that could prevent proper deployment of the air bag in an accident. When functioning correctly, the light comes on when ignition is turned on and goes out when engine is started.
If light fails to come on with ignition or remains on when running, a service need is indicated. A 2-digit or 3-digit trouble code will be stored into memory if a problem is detected. When trouble codes are repaired, the light should return to normal function.
