Necessary preliminary tasks
- Secure «ENGINE HOOD/BONNET»(ref-381258-S39331041492010122800000)
- Remove rear «AIR DUCT»(ref-381015-S00169098762010122700000)
Assemble transverse member 00 6 000 with special tools 00 6 030.

Secure special tool 11 0 020 to spindle 00 6 002.
Fit suitable chains to special tool 11 0 020 and attach to engine towing hook or lifting eye.

Unscrew nuts (1).
Raise engine approx. 10 mm with transverse member.
Installation note
Replace self-locking nuts.

- Remove both catalytic converters. - Release right «TIE ROD»(ref-381208-S06057946972010122800000) from steering gear
- Drain «COOLANT»(ref-381016-S34662473152010122700000)
- Remove coolant «EXPANSION TANK»(ref-381016-S36533312862010122700000)
- Remove «COOLANT THERMOSTAT»(ref-381014-S31367684012010122700000)
- Remove «COOLANT PUMP»(ref-381014-S04198044612010122700000)
- Remove both vacuum accumulators with bracket
- Remove right «CHARGE-AIR DUCT»(ref-381014-S42154230912010122700000)
- Drain «ENGINE OIL»(ref-381014-S31549461862010122700000) and collect in a clean container, oil is reused
Release screws (1) and remove protective plate (2) above tie rod.

Delete fault memory in Digital Engine Electronics.
