Removal & Installation (8-Cylinder)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove front and rear covers under engine. Remove battery cable guide retaining bolt and move guide off to side. Remove heat shields around starter. Disconnect wires from starter. Remove bolts from starter. Slide starter forward, and lower starter from vehicle. Check starter pinion and starter crown gear for damage. To install, reverse removal procedure.
