DESCRIPTION & OPERATION
An electric fan is mounted on the fan cowl and acts by drawing air through the radiator. The speed is variably regulated by the ECM. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .

Removal & Installation
Turn ignition off. Remove intake duct. See INTAKE DUCT. Unlock plug connector (1) and remove. Unclip cable from fan cowl. (Scheme 1) Lift out expansion rivet (1). Unscrew bolt (2). Remove fan cowl (3) toward top. (Scheme 2) To install, reverse removal procedure.

INTAKE DUCT

Remove top section of intake filter housing by disconnecting clips (1). Open retainers (2) on air-mass flow sensor and remove top section of intake filter housing. (Scheme 3) Remove screws. Remove air duct (1). (Scheme 4) Unfasten screws. Remove intake duct (1). (Scheme 5)
