Assembling

1. Clamp axle shaft in vise using soft jaws.
2. Push new boot onto shaft.
3. Push joint body onto shaft.

Installing triple roller star

Chamfer on spider faces toward shaft and is used as an assembly aid.

1. Place triple roller spider onto shaft as per markings and drive home onto stop.
2. Install new circlip; make sure correct seating.
3. Grease joint Grease quantities and types .
4. Slide joint body over rollers and hold in position.

1. Install joint boot.

1. Install hose clamp.

Scheme 981

1. Insert O-ring - arrow - into groove.
2. Install cover and bend down retaining tabs.
