Locking cable, adjusting

Adjustment requirements

1. Locking cable in installation position
2. Rear center console removed.
3. Selector lever in "P" position.
4. Ignition key inserted and ignition switched off

Adjustment sequence

1. Steering column is in back/down position.

Scheme 50

1. Loosen bolt at support bracket.
2. Install adjustment gauge 3352 A between locking lever -1- and locking cable eye -2-.
3. To compensate for play, pull support bracket up to limit stop in direction of arrow.

It must be possible to remove and insert adjustment gauge 3352 A easily in this position.

1. Tighten bolt at support bracket (10 Nm).
2. Remove setting bar.
3. Check function of ignition key removal lock. Refer to «Function of ignition key removal lock, checking»(/audi/tt/8n-2003-2006/remont/driveshaft-universal-joints/#6-speed-automatic-transmission-09g-fwd__function-of-ignition-key-removal-lock) .
