Switch off all electrical consumers.
Remove the key.
Remove driver's airbag. Refer to Removal and Installation .
Disconnect trim ring from steering wheel.
Disconnect and remove the connector -1- from the button -2-.
Slide button -2- out of steering wheel in -direction of arrow-.
Turn the button around.
Release and disconnect the connector -2- for the tiptronic switch from the multifunction button -1- and then remove it.
Perform the installation in reverse order.
Removal and installation of left multifunction button is identical.
