Fuse panel, removing and installing

Removing

1. Disconnect battery. Audi A4 S4 --> «Battery in engine compartment, disconnecting and reconnecting»(/audi/s4/b7-2004-2008/remont/cruise-control-systems/#electrical-equipment__battery-in-engine-compartment-disconnecting-and) . Audi RS4 --> «Battery in luggage compartment, disconnecting and connecting»(/audi/s4/b7-2004-2008/remont/cruise-control-systems/#electrical-equipment__battery-in-luggage-compartment-disconnecting-and) .
2. Where applicable, remove drivers storage compartment --> «68 - INTERIOR EQUIPMENT»(/audi/s4/b7-2004-2008/remont/gauges-instrument-panels/#body-interior) .

Scheme 372

1. Remove screws - 1 - for fuse panel - 2 -.
2. Release upper an d lower retaining clips and detach fuse panel from central tube for instrument panel.
3. Disengage wiring harness at central tube for instrument panel and set aside.

Scheme 373

1. Cut open cable tie - 1 -.
2. Release cover for fuse panel - arrows -.
3. Remove fuses at fuse panel.

Scheme 374

1. Remove retaining strip for connectors - arrows - and take connectors out of fuse panel.
2. Unclip socket - 1 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following

1. Install drivers storage compartment --> «68 - INTERIOR EQUIPMENT»(/audi/s4/b7-2004-2008/remont/gauges-instrument-panels/#body-interior) .
2. Reconnect battery. Required steps Audi A4 S4 «Reconnecting»(/audi/s4/b7-2004-2008/remont/cruise-control-systems/#electrical-equipment__reconnecting) . Required steps Audi RS4 «Connecting»(/audi/s4/b7-2004-2008/remont/cruise-control-systems/#electrical-equipment__connecting) .
