RELEASE
Removing
Remove the center armrest trim. Refer to CENTER ARMREST TRIM .
Remove the center armrest support base trim. Refer to CENTER ARMREST SUPPORT BASE 1 AND 2 TRIM .
Remove center armrest upholstery. Refer to CENTER ARMREST UPHOLSTERY .
Remove the right gas-filled strut. Refer to GAS-FILLED STRUT .
Remove the cable ties -1-.
Loosen the lock nuts -2- and disengage the cable -5-.
Remove the trim -4-. "Be careful not to break the trim".
Remove the cable completely -2-.
Installation
Install in reverse order of removal.
Before installing the center armrest support base trim, adjust the cable. Refer to CABLE, ADJUSTING .
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Trim removal wedge 3409
Removing
Move the center armrest -6- all the way up and then open it up -6-.
Unclip front cover -4- with Trim Removal wedge 3409 and remove it.
Unclip rear box -5- with the trim removal wedge 3409 and remove box -5- upward.
Note. Just the left side is shown on the following illustration, the right side it identical.
Remove the screws -1- (quantity 4).

Remove the screws -2- (quantity 4).
Remove the screws -3- (quantity 4).
| CAUTION | Be careful when removing the cupholder because the multibox could get scratched or damaged. |
Note. >>Removal of the cupholder cannot be described exactly. It must be removed through trying<<.
Remove cupholder -4- by carefully pressing apart the multibox alternately left and right. At the same time, remove the cupholder tipped upward.
Installation
Install in reverse order of removal.
