Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

  1. Multimeter VAG1526 or Multimeter VAG1715
  2. Voltage test lamp VAG1527
  3. Connector test kit VAG1594
  4. Wiring diagram
  1. Disconnect connector at the fuel injector to be tested.
  1. Connect voltage test lamp VAG1527 between terminal 1 of connector and engine Ground (GND).
  2. Switch ignition on

Voltage test lamp must light up.

  1. If voltage test lamp does not light up, check wire connection from terminal 1 via fuse for fuel injectors (fuse assignment in fuse holder in instrument panel, right side) to Fuel Pump (FP) Relay J17 for open circuit. --> Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Troubleshooting and Component Locations

If voltage test lamp lights up, check activation of fuel injectors.
