Electric adjustment

Using switch -A-, the steering column can be electrically adjusted longitudinally and in height. Adjustment works if the ignition is switched off.

Height adjustment

  1. Press switch upward or downward.

The height is adjusted as long as the switch is pressed.

Longitudinal adjustment

  1. Press switch in forward or rearward direction.

The height is adjusted as long as the switch is pressed.

Vehicles with seat memory, the respective adjustment can be saved with the seat position.

Checking and adjusting alignment of ribbed belt

  1. Position alignment gauge -3201- on pulley of A/C compressor.
  2. Pump pulley must be aligned with pulley of A/C compressor.

If the two pulleys are not lined up

  1. Unbolt pump pulley.
  2. Install shims (available as replacement parts) so that both pulleys are aligned.
