Compressor drive shaft, loosening and tightening
- Support engine using 10-222A engine support bridge (so that left engine mount can be removed). See «SUSPENSION - FRONT»(ref-153103) .
- Remove oil dipstick from engine
- Remove noise insulation: See «NOISE INSULATION PANEL, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW»(ref-196278-S12661534982005100800000) .
- Remove left engine mount completely (engine console, engine mount and engine support).
Drive shaft, tightening
- Hold compressor drive shaft -A- in place using an open-end wrench and turn compressor drive unit -B- in direction of arrow -D- (tightening torque 60 Nm). (Схема №123)
- After tightening compressor drive shaft, check installation position of boot -E
Capacities
A/C refrigerant R134a and refrigerant oil (PAG), capacities: See A/C REFRIGERANT R-134A AND REFRIGERANT OIL (PAG), CAPACITIES .
Note. When charging the A/C system, always use the maximum amount of A/C refrigerant, since some of the refrigerant remains in the hose of the refrigerant recovery, recycling and recharging unit. In the engine compartment there is a sticker with data on the capacity and the type of refrigerant.
