A4 models are available with front heated seats. All heated seat systems consist of temperature control switches, circuit breakers, heating elements, temperature sensors and wiring. Seat temperature is selected using thumbwheel control switches located in center instrument panel, above radio (front seats) or in rear of center console (rear seats), and maintained via temperature sensors.
On front seats, temperature control switch turns on and adjusts temperature of heating elements. On rear seats, pressure on rear seat turns on seat heater and separate temperature control thumbwheel adjusts temperature of heating elements.
Rear seats may be equipped with cushion-glued or seat-cover installed heating elements. All other seats have cushion-glued heating elements.
