- Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 RPM without load (in Park or neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
- Check the MAP with a scan tool or the HDS. Is 36.9 kPa (10.9 in.Hg, 277 mmHg), 1.1 V, or less indicated? YES - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. NO - Replace the MAP sensor (see «THROTTLE BODY DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY»(ref-218789-S10770291502006021000000) ).
