Front Inner Fender Replacement

Note. Take care not to scratch the body.

Scheme 1: Front Inner Fender Replacement
  1. Remove the front inner fender (A). On the back of the wheel arch, remove the screws (B, C, D). From under the front bumper (E), remove the clip (F) securing the front bumper, splash shield (G), and front inner fender, From the wheel arch, remove the clips (H) securing the front inner fender (and splash shield) to the body. Remove the front inner fender.
  2. Install the inner fender in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Check if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, and if necessary, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.

Front Splash Shield Replacement

Note. Take care not to scratch the body.

Scheme 2: Front Splash Shield Replacement
  1. Remove the splash shield (A). From under the front bumper (B), remove the screws (C). From under the body, remove the clips (D, E). Pull the splash shield out. NOTE: To remove the clips D and E, pry the inner the clip up at the edge near the line (F) on its head.
  2. Install the splash shield in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Check if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, and if necessary, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.

  1. Remove the front inner fender as needed (see «FRONT INNER FENDER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/exterior-body-panels/#fenderwell__front-inner-fender-replacement) ).
  2. From the wheel arch, remove the clips.
  3. Open the front door. From inside the door, remove the clips securing the front fender fairing (A).
  4. Remove the front fender fairing (A).
  5. Install the fender fairing in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Check if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, and if necessary, replace them with new ones. Push the clips and hooks into place securely.

Fuel Pipe Protector Replacement

Note. Take care not to scratch the body. Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Scheme 6: Fuel Pipe Protector Replacement
  1. Remove the left rear wheel (see «HUB BEARING UNIT REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/wheel-hubs/#rear-suspension) ).
  2. Remove the bolts (A) and clips (B), then remove the fuel pipe protector (C).
  3. Install the protector in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Check if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, and if necessary, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.

Rear Fender Cover Replacement

Note. Take care not to scratch the rear bumper and body.

Scheme 7: Rear Fender Cover Replacement
  1. Remove the screws (A) and clip (B), then remove the rear fender cover (C) from the rear bumper (D) and body.
  2. Install the fender cover in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 8: Rear Wheel Arch Protector Replacement
  1. Remove the rear wheel arch protector (A) by pulling it away from the wheel arch.
  2. Apply clear weatherstrip sealant (B) into the channel of the wheel arch protector all the way around.
  3. To reinstall the rear wheel arch protector, align it with the rear of the wheel arch, and then push it into place securely.

Rear Door Wheel Arch Seal Replacement

Note. When removing components, use the trim tools or equivalent. Take care not to scratch the body. Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Scheme 9: Rear Door Wheel Arch Seal Replacement

  1. Remove the screw securing the rear door wheel arch seal (A).
  2. If necessary, separate the rear door wheel arch seal (A) and the rear door wheel arch seal bracket (B) by pulling the seal from the bracket.

Scheme 11

Scheme 11: Rear Strake Replacement
  1. Remove the clip (A) and screw (B), then remove the rear strake (C). Take care not to scratch the rear bumper (D).
  2. Install the strake in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Remove the rear bumper (see «QUARTER GLASS REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/windows/#body-glass__quarter-glass-replacement) ).
  2. Detach the hooks (A), then remove the rear air outlet (B). Take care not to scratch the body. Left side Right side
  3. Install the air outlet by pushing on the hook portions until the hooks snap into place.
