  1. Remove the power seat adjustment switch knobs and recline cover from the driver's seat, then remove the power seat switch '03 model (see «'03 MODEL»(/acura/mdx/i-2000-2006/remont/seats/#seats__03-model) ), '04-'06 models (see «'04-06 MODELS»(/acura/mdx/i-2000-2006/remont/seats/#seats__04-06-models) ).
  2. Disconnect the 6P connectors from the power seat adjustment switch (A).
  3. Reinstall the adjustment switch knobs to the switch.
  4. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to (Scheme 78).
  5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

  1. Remove the power seat adjustment switch knobs and recline cover from the driver's seat, then remove the power seat switch (see «'04-06 MODELS»(/acura/mdx/i-2000-2006/remont/seats/#seats__04-06-models) ).
  2. Disconnect the 12P connector from the power seat adjustment switch (A).
  3. Reinstall the adjustment switch knobs to the switch.
  4. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to (Scheme 80).
  5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

  1. Remove the power seat adjustment switch knobs and recline cover from the passenger's seat, then remove the power seat switch (see «'04-06 MODELS»(/acura/mdx/i-2000-2006/remont/seats/#seats__04-06-models) ).
  2. Disconnect the 6P connectors from the power seat adjustment switch (A).
  3. Reinstall the adjustment switch knobs to the switch.
  4. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to (Scheme 82).
  5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

  1. Remove the power seat adjustment switch knobs and recline cover from the passenger's seat, then remove the power seat switch (see «'04-06 MODELS»(/acura/mdx/i-2000-2006/remont/seats/#seats__04-06-models) ).
  2. Disconnect the 12P connector from the power seat adjustment switch (A).
  3. Reinstall the adjustment switch knobs to the switch.
  4. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to (Scheme 84).
  5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

  1. Remove the driver's seat (see «FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/mdx/i-2000-2006/remont/seats/#seats__front-seat-removalinstallation) ).
  2. Disconnect the connector(s) from the adjustment switch (A). '04-06 models with DPMS
  3. Test each motor by applying battery voltage and body ground to the terminals. [ ] :'04-'06 models with DPMS
  4. If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, check for an open in the power seat wire harness between the switch connector and the power seat motor 2P connector. If the harness is OK, replace the motor (see «'04-06 MODELS»(/acura/mdx/i-2000-2006/remont/seats/#seats__04-06-models) ). NOTE: The motors are not available separately. The slide and up-down motors are part of the slide/up-down adjuster. The recline motor is part of the recline adjuster.

  2. Disconnect the connector(s) from the adjustment switch (A).
