Installing knock sensor (KS) Volvo V70 II facelift

Installing knock sensor (KS)

Install

  1. the sensor. Route the cable behind the starter motor bracket and tighten to 20 Nm (14.75 lb. ft).
  2. connector
  1. new gasket to intake manifold
  2. vacuum hoses to intake manifold, right-hand side
  3. intake manifold. Tighten to 17 Nm (12.54 lb. ft)
  4. bracket screw on the underside of the intake manifold
  5. dipstick pipe
  6. air distribution pipe
  7. fuel delivery hose from fuel delivery pipe
  8. fuel rail with new screws . Tighten to 10 Nm (7.4 lb. ft)
  9. the crankcase ventilation hose to the top
  10. the ignition coils cover, left-hand side
  11. the fuel rail cover
  12. vacuum hoses to intake manifold, left-hand side
  1. the throttle body (TB) with new gasket . Tighten to 17 Nm (12.54 lb. ft)
  2. intake manifold between the air cleaner (ACL) and throttle body (TB) with vacuum hoses
  1. the intake manifold between the front cover plate and the air cleaner (ACL) housing.

Scheme 254: Removing the mass air flow (MAF) sensor

Remove the pipe between the air cleaner (ACL) and the turbo / throttle body at the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.

Disconnect the connector from mass air flow (MAF) sensor.

Remove the screws holding the mass air flow (MAF) sensor to the air cleaner (ACL) cover.

Pull and work the mass air flow (MAF) sensor loose from the air cleaner (ACL) cover.
