SERVICE INTERVAL
Check fluid level every 10,000 miles.
CHECKING FLUID LEVEL
- Ensure vehicle is level. Apply parking brake and gear selector lever to Park. Start and idle engine. Move shift selector lever through all gears, while pausing 4-5 seconds for engagement at each position.
- Return gear selector lever to Park. Wait 2 minutes and check fluid level with engine idling. Level should be between MIN and MAX marks.

DRAINING & REFILLING
| CAUTION | If vehicle has been driven, ATF may be hot. Ensure oil does not come in contact with skin, or injury may occur. |
Remove splash guard under engine and remove drain plug and drain oil from transaxle. Once oil is drained, install drain plug with new seal and tighten to 29 ft. lbs. (40 N.m). Install splash guard. Add ATF. Start engine and allow to idle in "P" position. Check fluid level and add as necessary. For proper transaxle capacity, see TRANSAXLE REFILL CAPACITIES table.
