EXPLANATION
Not all the parameters that are described need to be implemented in the control module. These varies from system to system.
Frozen values are parameter values that are stored when a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored.
BATTERY VOLTAGE, VALUE
Measurement range: 0 - 12 V.
Normal value when the generator (GEN) is charging: 13.0 - 14.5 V.
DISTANCE, VALUE
Measurement range: 0 - 1, 048, 575 km.
The value indicates the total mileage of the car at the time the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored.
PASSENGER COMPARTMENT TEMPERATURE, VALUE
Measurement range: -60 - 195 °C.
The combined instrument panel obtains the value via the CAN network.
OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE, VALUE
Measurement range: -128 - 127.75 °C.
The driver information module (DIM) obtains the value via the CAN network.
ENGINE RUNNING, STATUS
The status displays whether the engine was running when the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored.
No = the engine was not running
Yes = the engine was running
TIME, VALUE
The value displays the time that has passed since the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored.
PROGRAMMING THE ODOMETER SETTING
| CAUTION | It may be illegal to change the odometer setting in the combined instrument panel. |
Note. The mileage does not need to be programmed. The central electronic module (CEM) programs the new mileage if it is replaced.
It is only possible to reprogram this parameter once and if the odometer setting is below 500 km.
PROGRAMMING THE DISTANCE CONDITIONS FOR SERVICE
This parameter is used to indicate the number of kilometers the car may be driven before the service reminder indicator (SRI) lights.
The following values may be selected for driver information modules (DIM) intended for kilometers: 5000 km, 7, 500 km, 10, 000 km, 12, 000 km, 15, 000 km, 20, 000 km and 30, 000 km.
The following values may be selected for driver information modules (DIM) intended for miles: 2500 miles, 5, 000 miles, 6, 000 miles, 7, 500 miles, 10, 000 miles, 12, 000 miles and 18, 000 miles.
PROGRAMMING THE TIME CONDITIONS FOR SERVICE
This parameter is used to set the number of months the car may be driven before the service reminder indicator (SRI) lights.
The following values may be selected: 6 months, 12 months, 18 months and 24 months.
PROGRAMMING THE ENGINE TIME CONDITIONS FOR SERVICE
This parameter is used to set the number of hours the engine may be running for before the service reminder indicator (SRI) lights.
The following values may be selected: 500 hours, 750 hours and 1000 hours.
PROGRAMMING THE UNIT FOR TEMPERATURE
The units of measurement for the temperature can be set. Celsius or Fahrenheit can be selected.
PROGRAMMING THE UNITS FOR THE TRIP COMPUTER
Programming the units for the trip computer if this function is available in the car.
The following units may be selected: Liter, GB Gallon, US Gallon and km/l.
PROGRAMMING THE CLOCK MODE
The clock display can be set. 12 hour display or 24 hour display is available.
PROGRAMMING THE PARKING BRAKE WARNING
It is possible to activate or deactivate the parking brake warning.
PROGRAMMING THE AUDIBLE ACKNOWLEDGMENT SIGNAL, SEAT BELT REMINDER
