INPUT SIGNALS

Stop lamp, input signal

Indicates the status of the stop lamp signal from the vehicle's right-hand tail lamp. The stop lamp signal is activated by depressing the brake pedal in the vehicle.

Yes = trailer module (TRM) receives stop lamp signal from vehicle's right-hand tail lamp.

No = trailer module (TRM) does not receive stop lamp signal from vehicle's right-hand tail lamp.

OUTPUT SIGNALS

Indicates the status of signals that the trailer module (TRM) transmits to the tow hitch cable harness. The signals are activated with the aid of the normal controls/button in the vehicle.

Note. When taking this reading, the trailer must not be electrically connected to the socket on the tow hitch device for the vehicle. The trailer may only be connected to the socket if the trailer cable harness and its connectors are checked and fault-free. The socket on the tow hitch device for the vehicle is available in several variants with different numbers of poles. In the socket the output signals for fog lamps and back-up (reversing) lamps are dependent on the market.

Parking lamps

Off = trailer module (TRM) does not transmit signals to parking lamps

On = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to parking lamps

Fog lamps

Off = trailer module (TRM) does not transmit signals to fog lamps

On = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to fog lamps

Stop lamp, left

Off = trailer module (TRM) does not transmit signals to the left-hand stop lamp

On = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to the left-hand stop lamp

Stop lamp, right

Off = trailer module (TRM) does not send signals to the right-hand stop lamp

On = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to the right-hand stop lamp

Back-up (reversing) lamps

Off = trailer module (TRM) does not transmit signals to back-up (reversing) lamps

On = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to back-up (reversing) lamps

Left turn signal lamp

Turn signal flasher off = trailer module (TRM) does not transmit signals to the left-hand turn signal lamp

Turn signal flasher on = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to the left-hand turn signal lamp

Right turn signal lamp

Turn signal flasher off = trailer module (TRM) does not transmit signals to the right-hand turn signal lamp

Turn signal flasher on = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to the right-hand turn signal lamp

TOW HITCH CONNECTOR

Indicates the status of the socket on the vehicle tow hitch device.

Tow hitch connector connected

Yes = tow hitch connector is connected to the socket

No = tow hitch connector is not connected to the socket

BATTERY VOLTAGE

Measurement range 0-20 V.

The normal value is 13.5-14.5 V when the generator (GEN) is charging.

The value indicates the voltage at the trailer module (TRM).

EXPLANATION

Not all the parameters described need to be implemented in the trailer module (TRM). This varies from system to system.

Frozen values are parameter values that are stored when a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored.

BATTERY VOLTAGE CENTRAL ELECTRONIC MODULE (CEM), VALUE

Measurement range: 5 - 30 V.

Normal value when the generator (GEN) is charging: 13.0-14.5 V.

The value indicates the voltage at the central electronic module (CEM).

DISTANCE, VALUE

Measurement range: 0 - 1048575 km.

The value indicates the total mileage of the car at the time the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored.

PASSENGER COMPARTMENT TEMPERATURE, VALUE

Measurement range: -40 - 80°C.

The value indicates the passenger compartment temperature at the time the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored.

OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE, VALUE

Measurement range: -128 - 124°C.

The value indicates the outside temperature at the time the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored.

ENGINE RUNNING, STATUS

The status displays whether the engine was running when the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored.

No = the engine was not running

Yes = the engine was running
