DESCRIPTION & OPERATION
Powered driver and passenger seats are factory-fitted options. In later models driver seat has a memory function and is equipped with an on-board diagnostic (OBD) system. The memory function has 3 memory buttons for different seat positions. The control module which is located under seat operates 4 different motors in all. Three motors are located under seat. The fourth is located in seatback. The control modules with memory give information on seat position with signals from four position sensors. These are potentiometers which are driven by worm gears on output shaft of each motor.
Controls & Operation
- Switch control lever shaped like a seat cushion controls seat height at forward and rear edges together with its longitudinal position.
- Switch control lever shaped like a seatback controls seat-back rake. The tilt support is controlled manually.
- 3 memory buttons, marked 1, 2 and 3, are used to store different seat positions. To bring seat to a stored position, button is held down until seat reaches that position. If button is released during this process, seat immediately stops moving.
- To store a seat position, program buttons are pressed first, held in place and then one of memory buttons is pressed.
