Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Vehicle Diagnostic Tester VAS 5051A
Note. If more than one component of the immobilizer is replaced, during ordering, it must be indicated that the VIN must be stored in the components (entry/ instruction during ordering in SAP: Store VIN). If this is not done, adaptation is not possible.
Always adapt the engine control module to the immobilizer after installing a new or used module.
Connect the Vehicle diagnostic tester. Refer to Description and Operation .
In Vehicle diagnostic tester, select operating mode "Guided Fault Finding".
Using the "Go To" button, select "Functions/Component selection" and the following menu options in sequence
- Body
- Electrical Equipment
- 01 - On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable systems
- Anti-Theft Immobilizer
- Anti-theft Immobilizer functions
- Removing and installing the engine control module
