Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Protective glasses
- Gloves
| CAUTION | Always make sure to disconnect battery ground (GND) strap before performing work on parts of headlamp with gas discharge lamp marked with yellow high voltage symbols. After this, switch low beam on and off again. Thus, any residual voltage is discharged. The control module for gas discharge lamp must never be operated without gas discharge lamp. The gas discharge lamp must only be operated in headlamp housing due to high voltages (more than 28,000 V when igniting gas discharge lamp) and temperatures. |
| CAUTION | Never replace lamps when you are not familiar with the corresponding actions, safety precautions and tools. |
