Checking
Turn off the engine.
The transmission fluid temperature must not be more than approximately 30°C (86°F) at the start of the test.
- The transmission is not in emergency running mode, and the fluid temperature is not higher than 30°C (86°F).
- The vehicle is horizontal
- The selector level is in the "P" position.
Connect the tester and move through the selections until it is ready for operation. Refer to VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC TESTER, CONNECTING .
Press the right button Guided Functions .
Select the vehicle, the transmission and check ATF level .
Press the --> button.
Start the engine.
Lift the vehicle.
Place a drip tray under the transmission.
Press the --> button.
If the test temperature is 35 to 45°C (95 to 113°F)
Remove the plug from the oil pan.

The fluid flows out of the overflow tube.
If fluid continues to drip out of hole
The fluid does not need to be topped off.
Install and tighten the plug with a new seal to 27 Nm. The level check is now completed.
If no fluid drips out of the hole
Fill with transmission fluid.
