Activation, checking

  1. First check camshaft adjuster solenoid valve activation via diagnostic test mode (DTM).

If control is OK

  1. Measure resistance between terminals of solenoid valve. Specification: 10 to 18 ohms (at room temperature)

If no malfunctions are found on valve

  1. Check camshaft adjuster function.
