PROCEDURE

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the ignition switch to ON. Turn the Techstream on. Operate the front passenger side temperature adjustment switch. Enter the following menus: Body / Air Conditioner / Data List. Check the value(s) by referring to the table below. AIR CONDITIONER Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Air Mix Servo Targ Pulse (P) Passenger side air mix servo motor target pulse / Min.: 0, Max.: 255 MAX. COLD: 105 (pulse) MAX. HOT: 7 (pulse) - OK The display is as specified in the Normal Condition column. Result Result Proceed to NG A OK (When troubleshooting according to Problem Symptoms Table) B OK (When troubleshooting according to the DTC) C C --> See step 7 B --> See step 6 A: Go to next step
  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the ignition switch to ON. Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Body / Air Conditioner / Active Test. Check the operation by referring to the table below. AIR CONDITIONER Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Air Mix Servo Target Pulse (P) Air mix servo motor pulse (P side) Min.: 0, Max.: 255 - OK Air temperature changes in accordance with each control range. NG --> See step 3 OK --> See step 7
  3. INSPECT AIR MIX CONTROL SERVO MOTOR Replace the air mix control servo motor. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY»(ref-394777-S32961667312011040800000) . HINT: Since the servo motor cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the servo motor with a new or a known good one and check that the condition returns to normal. Check for the DTC. Result Result Proceed to DTC B1441/41 is output A DTC B1441/41 is not output B B --> See step 8 A: Go to next step
  4. REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY»(ref-394777-S32961667312011040800000)
  5. INSPECT AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS Replace the air conditioning harness. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY»(ref-394777-S32961667312011040800000) . HINT: Since the air conditioning harness cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the air conditioning harness with a new or a known good one and check that the condition returns to normal. Check for the DTC. Result Result Proceed to DTC B1441/41 is output A DTC B1441/41 is not output B B --> See step 4 A --> See step 7
  6. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to «PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE»(ref-394785-S13172783282011040800000)
  7. REPLACE A/C AMPLIFIER. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-394777-S00023297572011040800000)
  8. REPLACE AIR MIX CONTROL SERVO MOTOR. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY»(ref-394777-S32961667312011040800000)

Result Result Proceed to NG A OK (When troubleshooting according to Problem Symptoms Table) B OK (When troubleshooting according to the DTC) C C --> See step 6 B --> See step 5 A: Go to next step

  3. INSPECT AIR INLET CONTROL SERVO MOTOR Replace the air inlet control servo motor. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY»(ref-394777-S35331082462011040800000) . HINT: Since the servo motor cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the servo motor with a new or a known good one and check that the condition returns to normal. Check for the DTC. Result Result Proceed to DTC B1442/42 is output A DTC B1442/42 is not output B B --> See step 7 A: Go to next step
  4. INSPECT AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS Replace the air conditioning harness. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY»(ref-394777-S32961667312011040800000) . HINT: Since the air conditioning harness cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the air conditioning harness with a new or a known good one and check that the condition returns to normal.   8. REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY»(ref-394777-S32961667312011040800000)

HINT: Since the servo motor cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the servo motor with a new or a known good one and check that the condition returns to normal. Check for the DTC. Result Result Proceed to DTC B1443/43 is output A DTC B1443/43 is not output B B --> See step 7 A: Go to next step
