- Disconnect the solenoid connector. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals. (Scheme 338) Resistance should be 12.5-16.5 ohms. If resistance value is not as specified, replace the solenoid. See «KEY INTERLOCK SOLENOID»(ref-144214-S37162429022002091700000) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Momentarily supply battery positive voltage and ground at terminals. (Scheme 339) Ensure an operating noise can be heard from the solenoid. If the solenoid does not operated, replace the solenoid. See «KEY INTERLOCK SOLENOID»(ref-144214-S37162429022002091700000) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
