SYSTEM DESCRIPTION [12/2013 - ]
- ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM The illuminated entry system has the following control functions: Control Outline Lights that Operate Actuation Area-linked*1 When a registered key enters any actuation area around the doors, the lights that operate turn on. Power Switch Illumination Personal Light When a registered key leaves all of the actuation areas around the doors, the lights that operate turn off. Door Lock/Unlock-linked When any door is unlocked, the lights that operate turn on. Power Switch Illumination*1 Personal Light When all doors are locked, the lights that operate turn off. Door Open/Close-linked When any door is opened, the lights that operate turn on. Power Switch Illumination*1 Personal Light When all doors are closed, the lights that operate turn off. Power Switch-linked*1 When the power switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off, the lights that operate turn on. Power Switch Illumination Personal Light When the power switch is turned from off to on (ACC or IG), the lights that operate turn off. Ignition Switch-linked*2 When the ignition switch is turned from ON (IG) or ACC to off, the lights that operate turn on. Personal Light When the ignition switch is turned from off to ON (IG) or ACC, the lights that operate turn off. Delay When approximately 15 seconds elapse after any of the following conditions is met, the lights that operate turn off: An actuation area-linked function is used.*1 The door unlock-linked function is active. Any door is opened and then all doors are closed when the ignition switch is off. Power Switch Illumination*1 Personal Light Battery Saving When 20 minutes elapse after the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON (IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off. HINT: Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off. The ignition switch is turned to ACC or ON (IG) Any door is opened and closed The back door is opened and closed Any door is unlocked The key enters any exterior actuation area Power Switch Illumination*1 Personal Light Luggage Compartment Light*3 *1: w/ Smart Key System *2: w/o Smart Key System *3: w/ Luggage Compartment Light
OPERATION CHECK [12/2013 - ]
- INSPECT INTERIOR LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION NOTE: Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the initial settings. HINT: The interior light control illuminates the lights below. Power Switch Illumination*1 Personal Light The operation and conditions of this control are described below. Operation Condition Fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all doors are closed. Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out When any of the following conditions is met, the lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out: The key enters any actuation area around the doors when the power switch is off and all doors are closed(*1,*2). Any door is unlocked when the ignition switch is off with all doors closed and locked. The ignition switch is turned from ON (IG) to off when all doors are closed. All doors are closed after any door is opened with the ignition switch off. Fade out immediately When any of the following conditions is met, the lights fade out immediately: The ignition switch is turned from off to ACC when all doors are closed. All doors are locked when the ignition switch is off, all doors are closed and any door is unlocked. All doors are locked again when all doors are already closed and locked. *1: w/ Smart Key System *2: When the lights are on, if the key leaves all of the actuation areas around the doors, after approximately 3 seconds, the lights fade out.
- BATTERY SAVING CONTROL OPERATION NOTE: Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the initial settings. HINT: The lights controlled by battery saving control are as follows: Power Switch Illumination*1 Personal Light Luggage Compartment Light*2 The operation and conditions of this control are described below. Operation Condition Battery saving When 20 minutes elapse after the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON (IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off. HINT: Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off. The ignition switch is turned to ACC or ON (IG) Any door is opened and closed The back door is opened and closed Any door is unlocked The key enters any exterior actuation area *1: w/ Smart Key System *2: w/ Luggage Compartment Light
DESCRIPTION
This circuit detects the ignition switch ON (IG) or off condition, and sends it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
Scheme 1
This circuit detects the ignition switch ACC or off condition, and sends it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
Scheme 2
The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the front door courtesy light switch using this circuit.
Scheme 3
The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the rear door courtesy light switch using this circuit.
Scheme 4
The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the back door lock assembly using this circuit.
Scheme 5
The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the operation of the following lights
- Personal Light
HINT
The DOME CUT relay supplies power to the lights not controlled by the illuminated entry system. If all the lights that use power from the DOME CUT relay do not turn on, check the DOME CUT relay circuit first. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [12/2013 - ].
Scheme 6
When battery saving control operates while the interior lights are on, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) opens the DOME CUT relay to turn off the lights.
Scheme 7
The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls operation of the DOME CUT relay in order to supply power to the interior lights.
Scheme 8
The illuminated entry system controls the power switch illumination.
Scheme 9
The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of each door unlock detection switch.
