DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
- DESCRIPTION Air conditioning system data and the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) can be read through the Data Link Connector 3 (DLC3) of the vehicle. When the system seems to be malfunctioning, use Techstream to check for malfunctions and perform troubleshooting.

DTC CHECK / CLEAR
- CHECK DTC Connect Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn Techstream on. Read the DTC by following the prompts on the tester screen. HINT: Refer to Techstream operator's manual for further details.
- CLEAR DTC Connect Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn Techstream on. Clear the DTC by following the prompts on the tester screen. HINT: Refer to Techstream operator's manual for further details.

- LIST OF OPERATION METHODS By operating each of the air conditioning control switches as shown in the diagram below, it is possible to enter the diagnostic check mode.
- INDICATOR CHECK Turn the ignition switch off. Turn the ignition switch on (IG) while pressing the air conditioning control assembly "AUTO" switch and "R/F" switch simultaneously. Hold both switches until the indicator check screen appears. The indicator check is automatically performed when panel diagnosis is activated. Check that the indicators light up and go off at 1 second intervals 4 times in succession. HINT: The sensor check automatically starts when the indicator check is completed. - DTC CHECK (SENSOR CHECK) Start the engine and warm it up. Perform the indicator check. HINT: After the indicator check is completed, the system enters the DTC check mode automatically. Read the code displayed on the panel. NOTE: In the sensor check mode, which is automatically transferred from the indicator check mode, troubleshooting may be partially performed. Be sure to perform the actuator check, and then the sensor check again. If the check is performed in a dark place, DTC 21 or 24 may be displayed even though the system is normal. HINT: Refer to the DTC chart (Diagnostic Trouble Code chart) for details of the codes, refer to «DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART»(ref-422458-S19050313992011092600000) . When there are no problems, DTC 00 is output. As an example, the illustration shows that display code 21 is output. - CLEAR SENSOR CHECK CODE HINT: Illustrations may differ from the actual screen displayed depending on the specifications of the vehicle and customized settings. Inspect and repair or replace the malfunctioning parts. Clear the sensor check codes. While pressing the Fr DEF switch during sensor check mode, press the Rr DEF switch. HINT: Sensor check codes can be cleared by removing the ECU-B fuse from the engine room No. 1 relay block for more than 60 seconds. Perform the sensor check and confirm that normal code 00 is displayed.
- ACTUATOR CHECK Start the engine and warm it up. Perform the indicator check. Push the "R/F" switch to perform the actuator check. AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
