- Disconnect the solenoid connector. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals. (Scheme 225) Resistance should be 12-17 ohms. If resistance value is not as specified, replace the solenoid. See «KEY INTERLOCK SOLENOID»(ref-144214-S37162429022002091700000) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Momentarily apply battery positive voltage to terminal KLS+ and ground terminal KLS-. (Scheme 225) Ensure an operating noise can be heard from the solenoid. If the solenoid does not operate, replace the solenoid. See «KEY INTERLOCK SOLENOID»(ref-144214-S37162429022002091700000) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
