DESCRIPTION & OPERATION
Body control system is used to monitor and control the functions of various electrical systems and components, such as key reminder, light control, daytime running lights, combination meter (open door warning light), light auto-turnoff, illuminated entry, seat belt warning, power window and door lock control, wireless door lock control, and several other systems and components. Body control ECU is interlinked on a multiplex communication network with combination meter and engine control module (ECM). Before starting any diagnosis on body control system components or circuits, check for open or shorted multiplex system circuits to ensure that components are able to communicate with each other.
