DESCRIPTION & OPERATION
| CAUTION | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery. |
| CAUTION | When small children are in the vehicle, take care not to allow them unexpected use of the switches. Use the window locking feature, or if you must leave them unattended, remove the key from thee ignition switch. |
| CAUTION | When closing the windows, be sure that no one has his/her head, hands or arms sticking out the window. |
To raise or lower the windows, use the switch on each door. The passenger's windows can also be controlled by the switches on the driver's door. (Scheme 1)and (Scheme 2). The ignition key must be in the "ON" position.

Operation (Driver's Side)
To lower the window, push the button halfway down. Pull it to raise the window back up. The window moves as long as the button is operated. For automatic operation, push the button fully down. In automatic operation, the window will fully open, even if you let go of the button. To stop the window partway, lightly pull the button for a second, and release. (Scheme 3)

Operation (Passenger's Side)
To lower the window, push the button down. Pull it up to raise the window back up. The window moves as long as the button is operated. To lock the windows at that position, push the WINDOW LOCK switch. (Scheme 2) With the WINDOW LOCK switch pressed in, the windows cannot be raised or lowered. The indicator lights will tell you which of the switches can be operated.
Circuit Breaker Operation
Inspect the window in the full closed position, hold the power window switch in "UP" position and check that there is a circuit breaker operation noise within 4 to 40 seconds. With the window in full closed position, hold the switch in the "DOWN" position and check that the window begins to descend within 60 seconds. If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.
Window Motor Operation
Inspect the motor operation. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and negative (-) lead to terminal 2. (Scheme 4) Check that the motor turns. Connect the positive (+) lead to terminal 2 and negative (-) lead to terminal 1. Check that the motor turns the opposite way. If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.
