ENGINE TEMPERATURE GAUGE
Indicates engine coolant temperature. Gauge should register below "HOT" range while driving.
OIL PRESSURE GAUGE
Indicates engine oil pressure. If gauge registers low or no oil pressure, stop the vehicle immediately and check the oil level. If oil level is satisfactory and light remains on, have the lubricating system serviced as soon as possible.
OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT
If light flickers or comes on while driving, oil pressure is low. If this occurs, stop vehicle immediately and check the oil level. If oil level is okay and light remains on, have the system serviced as soon as possible.
CHARGE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT
Indicates that the battery is not charging properly. Check the alternator belt tension. If belt tension is okay, have the system serviced as soon as possible.
BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT
This light indicates that either the parking brake is on or the brake fluid level is low.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) WARNING LIGHT
If this light comes on while driving, there is a malfunction in the ABS. Have the ABS serviced as soon as possible.
ENGINE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT
If this light comes on while driving, it indicates a problem with the engine electrical system. On California vehicles, it also indicates a malfunction in the emission control system and may be used to access fault codes. Have the system serviced as soon as possible.
REAR LIGHT FAILURE WARNING LIGHT
If light comes on while engine is running, there is a bulb failure in one of the exterior lights. Replace the defective bulb as soon as possible.
FUEL FILTER WARNING LIGHT (DIESEL ENGINES)
If this light comes on while driving, drain the fuel filter of water immediately.
TURBO WARNING LIGHT
If this light comes on while driving, it indicates an abnormally high boost pressure in the intake manifold. Slow the vehicle immediately until the light goes out and have the vehicle serviced as soon as possible. DO NOT drive at high speed or race the engine even after the light goes out until the vehicle is serviced.
"A/T OIL TEMP" WARNING LIGHT (ALL-TRAC/4WD VEHICLES)
Indicates that the automatic transmission is overheated. If this light comes on while driving, slow the vehicle and pull off the road. Idle engine until light goes out. If light does not go out, do not drive the vehicle. Have the transmission serviced immediately.
