PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK FOR DTC Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds. Clear the DTCs stored in the center airbag sensor. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-422257-S00628845952011092600000) . Turn the ignition switch off. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds. Using the Techstream, check for DTCs of the occupant classification ECU. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-422257-S00628845952011092600000) . OK DTC B1785 is not output. HINT: DTCs other than DTC B1785 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check. NG --> See step 2 OK --> See step 12
  2. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION Using the Techstream, perform the zero point calibration. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-422257-S39492386532011092600000) . OK "Zero Point Calibration is complete." is displayed. NG --> See step 5 OK: Go to next step

  5. REPLACE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY RH Turn the ignition switch off. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds. for Manual Seat: Replace the separate type front seat cushion spring RH. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY»(ref-422159-S05375276112011092600000) . for Power Seat: Replace the separate type front seat cushion spring RH. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY»(ref-422159-S21339508082011092600000) .
