Installation

Reverse removal sequence to install front floor carpet.

When installing seat belt anchor bolts, note the followings

Scheme 1

1. Seat belt anchor bolts should have an unified fine thread (7/16-20 UNF). Under no circumstances should any different sized or metric screw threads be used.
2. Be sure to tighten seat belt anchor bolts to specified torque.

LUGGAGE FLOOR CARPET REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Luggage floor carpet is fixed to floor with clips.

Removal

Detach clips, using care not to pull up carpet and break clips, and remove inner trims.

Reverse removal procedure to install luggage floor carpet.

Scheme 2

1. Remove spot light and sliding roof switch (if equipped).
2. Remove sunshade assembly (2).
3. Remove room light (1) and spacer.
4. Remove assistant grips (4).
5. Remove inner trims (3) covering head lining and door opening trim.
6. Remove rear room light (5), spacer and speaker cover (if equipped).
7. Disconnect rear washer hose and roof harness from body.
8. Remove head lining. NOTE: Adhesive double coated tape is used to attach rear part of head lining. Detach head lining from roof after removing all above parts.

Reverse removal procedure to install head lining noting the following instructions.

1. Set roof harness (1) and rear washer hose (2) to head lining with adhesive tape (3).
2. Clean roof where adhesive tape of head lining will be attached.
3. Peel off release liner of adhesive tape on head lining and install it to body.
4. Install assistant grips a, b, c and d in that order.
5. Install door opening trim (1).
6. Install spot light (if equipped), sunshade assembly (2), rear room light (5), speaker cover (if equipped), room light (1) and inner trims (3) covering head lining.

Scheme 7

1. Remove canvas top (1).
2. Remove rear topbow (2).
3. Remove side body garnishes (3).
4. Remove luggage mat end garnish (4).
5. Remove assistant grips (5).
6. Remove sunshade assemblies (6).
7. Remove sunshade hooks (7).
8. Remove front topbow locks (8).
9. Remove canvas top snaps (9).
10. Remove front seat belts (10).
11. Remove front pillar trims (11).
12. Remove rear side inner lower trims (12).
13. Remove rear side inner upper trims (13).
14. Disconnect room light connector (14) and remove room light harness clamp (15).
15. Remove roof trim (16). CAUTION: Be very careful not to separate roof trim consists of 4 components when removing. If disassembled, it could not be assembled to original unit.

1. Set room light (2) and clip (4) to roof trim (1).
2. Set room light harness (6) to roof trim with marking tape (7).
3. Reverse removal sequence to install roof trim.
4. Install seat belt upper anchor and bolt. Torque to specifications as shown in the figure. Tightening torque Seat belt upper anchor bolt (a): 35 N.m (3.5 kg-m, 25.5 lb-ft)
