Removal
- Disconnect negative battery at battery. (Scheme 10)
- Disconnect magnetic switch lead wire and battery cable from starting motor terminals.
- Remove 2 starting motor mount bolts (2).
- Remove starting motor (1).

Installation
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Note. Ensure to apply grease before assembly where indicated "A". (Scheme 11)
The starter motor consists of parts and has permanent magnets mounted in starting motor yoke (frame). Use exploded view of starter for overhaul. (Scheme 11) The magnetic switch assembly and parts in the starting motor are enclosed in the housings so that they will be protected against possible dirt and water splash.
