Starters: Removal & Installation Suzuki Verona I

Starter Installation

1. Install the starter-to-engine block mounting bolt and the transaxle-to-starter mounting bolt. Tighten: Tighten the starter-to-engine block mounting bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb-ft). Tighten the transaxle-to-starter mounting bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb-ft).
2. Position the starter electrical wire on the solenoid terminals and the ground wire.
3. Install the starter solenoid nut. Tighten: Tighten the starter solenoid nut to 7 N.m (61 lb-in.).
4. Connect the starter solenoid connector.
5. Install the air inlet hose.
6. Install the air inlet hose bolts. Tighten: Tighten the air inlet hose bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb-in.).
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
