Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Relay Control

See TRANSMISSION CONTROL under MISCELLANEOUS CONTROLS.

TCC relay controls TCC solenoid valve operation using signals from various engine sensors. TCC relay will only turn on when the following conditions are met

1. Engine running
2. Engine coolant near operating temperature (varies between models).
3. Throttle valve open (degree of opening varies between models).
4. Brake not applied (brake switch off).
5. Vehicle speed greater than specified mph (varies between models).
6. 4WD LOW switch off (Vitara and Grand Vitara).
