OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT
Light comes on with the ignition switch in the ON position as a bulb check and goes out shortly after engine is started. Light indicates low oil pressure, but does not indicate amount of oil in engine. If light remains on or comes on while driving, stop vehicle, turn off engine and check oil level. If oil level is sufficient, there may be a fault in the lubricating system. Have the system checked and serviced immediately to locate and correct cause. Do not operate vehicle until problem has been corrected.
CHARGE INDICATOR LIGHT
Light comes on with the ignition switch in the ON position as a bulb check and should go out shortly after engine is started to indicate that alternator is operating properly. If light remains on or comes on while driving, it indicates possible fault in the electrical charging system. The alternator belt may be loose or broken. Have the system checked and serviced promptly. Do not continue driving if alternator belt is loose or broken.
TURBO INDICATOR LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
Light indicates that turbocharger is in operation and the intake manifold pressure is above atmospheric pressure. Light should come on while driving with the accelerator pedal fully depressed. If it does not come on, have the system checked and serviced as necessary.
4WD INDICATOR LIGHT (SELECTIVE 4WD VEHICLES)
The 4WD light and the 4 wheels in the graphic display come on when the selector switch is set in the 4WD position to put vehicle in 4WD mode. Light should remain off when vehicle is being driven in FWD mode.
FWD WARNING LIGHT (FULL TIME 4WD VEHICLES)
Light comes on when a fuse is inserted into the FWD connector to put vehicle into FWD mode for maintenance and servicing purposes only. For everyday operation, the fuse should be removed from the FWD connector and light should be off.
DIFFERENTIAL LOCK INDICATOR LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
With the ignition switch in the ON position, light comes on when the center differential is locked and goes out when it is unlocked.
POWER INDICATOR LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
Light should come on momentarily with the ignition switch in the ON position and should go out shortly after (approximately 7 seconds). If light remains on, it indicates possible fault in the automatic transmission control system. Have it checked and serviced as necessary. Light will also come on when driving uphill or during rapid acceleration to indicate that vehicle is currently being operated in POWER drive mode. Light should remain off when in NORMAL drive mode.
BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WARNING LIGHT
Light comes on with the ignition switch in the ON position as a bulb check and goes out after engine is started. If it remains on or comes on while driving, it indicates low brake fluid in the reservoir. Vehicle braking system is equipped with dual hydraulic circuit to provide backup should a leak occur in either half of the system. If light comes on while driving, check brake fluid level and have the system checked and serviced. Do not continue driving if fluid level is well below the MIN mark on reservoir.
PARKING BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
With the parking brake fully or partially engaged, light should come on with the ignition switch in the ON position as a bulb check and goes out after engine is started and parking brake fully released. If light does not come on as designed or comes on at any other time, the bulb may be burned out or the parking brake switch may be damaged. Have the system checked and serviced as necessary to correct problem.
1ST HOLD INDICATOR LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
With the selector lever in position "2" and the 1ST HOLD switch turned on, light will come on when transmission is in first gear (about 34 MPH). Light automatically goes out after a speed of 34 MPH or above is reached.
HEIGHT INDICATOR LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
The HI light comes on when vehicle height is in the HIGH position and goes out when vehicle returns to its NORMAL height position.
AIR SUSPENSION WARNING LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
Light comes on when the ignition switch is in the ON position and goes out after engine is started. If light blinks on and off while driving, it indicates possible fault in the pneumatic suspension system. Have the system checked and serviced as necessary.
STEERING WARNING LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
Light comes on with ignition switch in the ON position and goes out after engine is started to indicate proper system operation. If light comes on intermittently or continuously while driving, there may be a problem in the electrical system. Have the system checked and serviced as soon as possible.
AT OIL TEMP WARNING LIGHT
Light comes on with the ignition switch in the ON position and goes out after engine is started. If light comes on while driving, it indicates that the automatic transmission fluid temperature is abnormally high. Avoid driving on steep hills or in stop-and-go traffic if light comes on. If necessary, stop vehicle and leave engine running at idle speed until light goes out. Normal vehicle operation may be resumed after light has gone out. If light does not go out, have the system checked and serviced as necessary.
STOP LAMP WARNING LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
The STOP LAMP light comes on when the ignition is turned on as a bulb check and goes out after engine is started. If light comes on with engine running and brake pedal depressed, it indicates that one of the stop light bulbs is burned out.
CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
Light comes on with the ignition switch in the ON position and goes out after engine is started to indicate that system is operating properly. If it remains on or comes on while driving, it indicate possible fault in the fuel injection control system. Have the system checked and serviced to correct problem as soon as possible.
ECS WARNING LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
The ECS light comes on with the ignition switch in the ON position and goes out after engine is started, indicating proper system operation. If it remains on or comes on while driving, it indicate possible fault in the electronic engine control system. Have the system checked and serviced to correct problem as soon as possible.
