Collapsible steering columns are used on all models. Column lower end is connected to steering gear pinion flange with a "U" joint. (Схема №1) SVX incorporates an air bag module in steering wheel.
AIR BAG SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK
Turn ignition switch to ON position. AIR BAG warning light in instrument cluster should glow and go out after approximately 8 seconds. If AIR BAG warning light stays illuminated for more than 8 seconds with ignition switch in ON position, SRS is malfunctioning and needs repair.
