- When the wiper does not operate properly, inspect the following item. Make sure that the movable part of blade assembly moves smoothly. Make sure the wiper rubber is not deformed or damaged.
- If damaged, replace with a new part.

- Open the front hood.
- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Remove the front bumper face assembly. Remove the clips and turn over the front end of front mud guard. (Model with fog light) Disconnect the front fog light connector. (Model with fog light) Remove the clips at the upper side of the bumper. Remove the clips from the fender. Remove the clips at the lower side of bumper. Detach the flange section on the bumper face side from the bracket side front UPR. CAUTION: Do not pull forcibly. It may damage the flange sections of the bumper face. NOTE: Pushing up the lower side (a) of the fog light, remove from (b) to (e). Detach the opposite side in the same manner.
- Remove the washer tank assembly. Remove the clip of the washer tank duct. Prepare a container before disconnecting the washer hose and drain all washer fluid in the tank. Disconnect the connector from the washer motor and washer tank level sensor, and then remove the harness clip. Remove the bolt and nuts and remove the washer tank assembly.
- Remove the washer motor from the tank.

- Install each part in the reverse order of removal. CAUTION: Install the bumper face so that the under cover front end (b) comes inside the front bumper face (a).
- Add new washer fluid. Tightening torque: 6 N.m (0.61 kgf-m, 4.4 ft-lb)
- Adjust the fog light beam. (Model with fog light) < Refer to «FOG LIGHT AIMING»(ref-646011-S38693623702014072500000) , ADJUSTMENT, Front Fog Light Assembly. >
- Make sure the nozzle and hose are not clogged.
- Make sure the hose is not bent.

- Turn the wiper switch to OFF position.
- While the vehicle is at a standstill, insert the washer nozzle adjustment tool (a) into upper side (b) and lower side (c) of the washer nozzle to perform necessary adjustment. CAUTION: Washer nozzle is made of resin. If precision screwdriver (A) or equivalent is inserted into discharge port for adjustment, the discharge port can be deformed, and washer fluid cannot be sprayed.
- Adjust the injection position of the washer fluid as shown in the figure.

- Pull up the wiper arm cover.
- Remove the nut and remove the wiper arm.

- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Operate the rear wiper once.

VISUAL INSPECTION
Check for the following items, and if any malfunction is found, replace the corresponding part.
- Make sure the nozzle and hose are not clogged.
- Make sure the hose is not bent.

- Turn the wiper switch to OFF position.
- While the vehicle is stopped, check that the washer spray position is as shown in the figure.
- After inspection, if the spray position is out of the specified range, adjust the position or replace with the new washer nozzle.
