INSTALLATION
- Clean all parts before installation.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- After completing installation, set the select lever to the SPORT shift side and confirm that manual mode "1" illuminates on the combination meter.
- Operate the steering shift switch and confirm that "2" illuminates on the combination meter.

| 1 SHIFT-UP SWITCH CONTINUITY CHECK. Press the shift-up switch. Measure the resistance between the shift switch connector terminals. Terminals No. 4 - No. 3 | Is the resistance less than 10 ohms? | Go to step 2. | Replace the steering shift switch. |
| 2 SHIFT-DOWN SWITCH CONTINUITY CHECK. Press the shift-down switch. Measure the resistance between the shift switch connector terminals. Terminals No. 3 - No. 2 | Is the resistance less than 10 ohms? | Go to step 3. | Replace the steering shift switch. |

- Remove the console box. REMOVAL , Console Box .>
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the indicator bulb.
- Remove the grip.
- Remove the indicator cover.
- Disconnect the connector from the guide plate upper.
- Shift the select lever to the N range, and then remove the detent spring.
- Remove the switch assembly and shift lock solenoid assembly.
- Remove the bolt to remove the guide plate upper (A) from the plate lower (B).
- Raise the claw of the connector.
- Disconnect the terminal of the "P" range switch from connector, using a flat-tip screwdriver with a thin tip.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Note. Refer to "COMPONENT" for each tightening torque. AT SELECT LEVER , COMPONENT, General Description .> Connect the "P" range switch terminal to connector.
